I starting working on some videos for a friend that I know in Cal’y. He just basically wanted me to do a retrospective of his artwork in a video for youtube. I said “sure”. Anyway, here is the first video of his portrait paintings. I did the work in kdenlive (I know, its kde software, but it was the only thing I could find that would take the jpgs directly and didn’t have a weak/crazy learning curve).
Ok, here is my newest thing ENCRYPTION. It sounds cryptic… well maybe.
Well this is what I have found out.
First, you need two keys. I create a private key which I use to Decrypt(/Encrypt, I guess?) and Sign other peoples keys.
Then, I create a public key that can Encrypt from that private key. So basically I send you this key and you can send me a message that only I can Decrypt.
From what I understand, that is it in a nutshell.
My main starting point for information for email encryption, at least, is here: http://enigmail.mozdev.org But, I have also installed it on my work Mac Mail. Even though I use thunderbird as my main email client.
Well now you can send me a secret email that I can only read and sign my key (If you trust me). But I will get into signing later. Mainly because I don’t completely understand it yet.
